Winnipeg’s most notable comedians will perform once again at The Park Theatre for the Winnipeg Comedy Showcase on July 4.

Past editions of the quarterly show have left sold-out audiences in stitches and tickets for the show are expected to move quickly.

Hosted by Jared Story, the show’s lineup features six comics:

• Matt Falk — Called “effortlessly funny” by the CBC, Matt’s comedy album Apple Pie & Scars reached No. 1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts.

• Dan Verville — A host at Rumor’s Comedy Club, Dan has appeared on CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud, is a veteran of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and in 2013 he placed in the top 25 of the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas.  

• Florence Spence — An Aboriginal woman and mother, Flo brings a fresh voice to the comedy scene. Her unique perspective and matter-of-fact manner is a hit with audiences everywhere.  

• Tim Gray — A hit at the Alternative Show at the 2015 Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Tim recently opened for Canadian funnyman Mark Forward and is a member of the sketch comedy troupe H.U.N.K.S.

• Matt Nightingale – In addition to being one of the best stand-up comics in the city, Matt may or may not be mustachioed motivational speaker Lawrence Bleechman.

• Michael Blomquist — A longtime contributor to the TV show The Week Thus Far, Mike is known in comedy circles as “The Bullet” for his fearlessness and ability to open up shows.  

Tickets for the Winnipeg Comedy Showcase are $10 and are available at The Park Theatre, Music Trader, www.ticketfly.com and from any of the comics on the bill. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. for happy hour.  Showtime is 9 p.m.
