The University of Winnipeg will host part of the 103rd Grey Cup Festival starting Nov. 26.
The Nissan Titan Street Festival is free and will run over the weekend of Nov. 26-28 during daytime hours in a heated tent on the front lawn at the U of W. In the evening, festivities will move into Duckworth Centre.
The Duckworth Centre will feature live entertainment by local and national artists on the Nissan Titan Street Festival Main Stage each day from 4 to 8 p.m. The Nissan Titan Street Festival Promenade Tent will also feature live entertainment and families can take in the MacDon Fan Experience & Family Zone in the Axworthy Health and RecPlex (350 Spence St.).
There will be football-themed stations set up on the RecPlex field and fans can try to beat the record for most passes completed to a target, or test their speed in the 50-yard dash.
A free pancake breakfast will be offered on Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
On Saturday the festival coincides with the Santa Clause Parade and Santa will make a special stop at the festival before heading down Portage Avenue towards The Forks.
The parade will travel right past the Nissan Titan Street Festival site at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, offering a good vantage point for the festivities.
