On Dec. 11, the Swedish Cultural Association hosted its annual Saint Lucia celebration at the Scandinavian Cultural Centre (764 Erin St.). The event included food, drinks and dancing around the Christmas tree. Saint Lucia’s Feast Day is a Swedish celebration of light during the coldest and darkest part of the year and the start of the Christmas season. On Dec. 11 guests enjoyed glogg (hot spiced wine), open-faced sandwiches, pepparkakor (ginger snaps) and Lucia buns.
