Capone named Bonivital’s assistant technical director

Bonivital Soccer Club has added a new member to its coaching staff.

Fabio Capone will be the club’s new assistant technical director. Officials say Capone holds a National B licence and brings to the role more than 25 years of experience as a soccer coach, coach educator, administrator, and player, and has been instrumental in developing youth soccer programs at all levels.

St. Vital Curling Club banquet to be held April 22

St. Vital Curling Club will hold its 2016-2017 annual awards banquet at the club (286 Regal Ave.) on Sat., April 22.

Cocktails will start at 6 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 7 p.m.

Organizers say the banquet will acknowledge this season’s winners at the landmark club.

Golf Manitoba to hold information meeting April 22

It’s nearly time to bring out the clubs.

Golf Manitoba’s spring information meeting will be held on Sat., April 22 between 9 a.m. and noon at Larters at St. Andrew’s Golf & Country Club (30 River Rd. in St. Andrew’s).

Organizers say the meeting is an important outreach to all golfers and members, and provides the opportunity for ask questions and to learn about Golf Manitoba and Golf Canada programs. Representatives from both organizations will be at the event.

Annually, Golf Manitoba requests each member club provides the name of a male and female representative to help the organization communicate with the clubs, and hopes representatives from each club will attend the event.
