Dr. Annette Trimbee is confirmed for her second terms as president and vice-chancellor of the University of Winnipeg.

The U of W’s board of regents unanimously made the decision on Jan. 29. Trimbee took on the role in August 2014 and since then has overseen the completion of a university-wide strategic plan, Leatherdale Hall, a three-year budget strategy and the implementation of an Indigenous course requirement for all undergrad students.

“The board of regents is pleased to reappoint Dr. Trimbee for another term,” Albina Moran, chair of the board said in a statement. “She has provided top-tier leadership and we see great things in the future for the university.”
