(Top photo) Headingley’s fire department members, first responders and police drove through the municipality on April 26 in the Hugs from Headingley event meant to show support for Nova Scotians, front-line workers and those affected by COVID-19, as well as to boost community spirit. Members are shown at 400 Seekings St. – a special stop to cheer a birthday girl.

Her Opa, Bert Loch, and the rest of the Headingley Fire Department members, along with first responders and police sang Happy Birthday to her as they stopped during their community-wide drive for Hugs from Headingley, to show support for Nova Scotians and those affected by COVID-19.
