Hello, everyone. I hope all Manitobans enjoyed a safe and happy 153rd Canada Day.
Over these past few weeks, I have been excited to see our economy is continuing to reopen and our diverse community is coming together while respecting physical distancing. Manitobans are truly doing their part in flattening the COVID-19 curve.
While our top priority is to flatten the COVID-19 curve and protect the health and safety of Manitobans, we must also ensure our economy remains strong.

There have been a number of initiatives from the Manitoba government as part of RestartMB. These programs include the Manitoba Gap Protection program, student wage subsidy, Student Jobs MB, mental health support and more.
With Phase Three of Restoring Safe Services coming into effect, many more businesses and services have been able to reopen their doors. Despite this, I recognize a number of businesses and not-for-profits in Manitoba are facing significant challenges due to COVID-19. If you’re one of them, the Manitoba Economic Support Centre is here for you. Dial 1-888-805-7554 today to speak with a service representative about programs for which you may be eligible. For further information on a case-by-case basis, visit engagemb.ca and leave your contact information to discuss a plan to address public health requirements or other concerns.
As your local MLA, constant feedback and ideas from our residents, community leaders and other local elected officials has a strong impact on my decisions for our community’s benefit. I am grateful for the opportunity to be your representative and will continue to be here to serve you.
If you have any questions or concerns, I invite you to connect virtually by contacting my Waverley constituency office at 204-261-7272 or emailing me at jon@jonreyes.ca
Enjoy the summer.
