The next and final phase of development in Sage Creek will be the focus of an upcoming public open house webinar.

The virtual event, which will showcase plans for Sage Creek Phase 10, will be hosted by Qualico Communities and Landmark Planning & Design, and will take place on Wed., March 3 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The open house follows on the heels of a previous one that was held on January 26. During the upcoming event, organizers will share a concept plan for the development of the tenth phase, share planning considerations, and discuss the planning process.

Katie Doerksen, the marketing and community relations manager at Qualico Communities, said more than 50 people registered for the previous webinar, which demonstrates how engaged the residents of Sage Creek are in the continued development of their community.

In terms of a timeline, Doerksen said there are lots of variables involved, so no definite timeframe has been decided for Phase 10, which is in the southeast corner of the southeast Winnipeg neighbourhood.

“This is the last phase, and we anticipate it will be a number of years before Sage Creek is complete,” she said. “We’re hoping to get going on some of it this year, but there’s no set date yet.”
