Winnipeg High School Hockey League standings as of Jan. 28

With the Winnipeg High School Hockey League’s 2021-22 season heading into the final stretch of regular season play, here’s where the teams from the east side of Winnipeg found themselves in the standings: 
In the Platinum Promotions Division, Miles Macdonell had eight regulation wins, an overtime win and a shootout loss, along with 10 regulation losses and one each in OT and shootout, for a total of 30 points ahead of a Jan. 28 game against Garden City, the Buckeyes second-last regular season tilt. Garden City’s seven regulation and two OT wins along with an OT loss was good for 26 points after 20 games. Meanwhile, River East had a record of 5-15-1, good for 16 points and last place ahead of a Feb. 1 match against Garden City.
In the Winnipeg Free Press West Division, West Kildonan Collegiate sat at the top of the division with 41 points, registering 13 wins, and one OT and shootout loss each, in 18 games ahead of a Jan. 31 game vs. Glenlawn. Kildonan-East Collegiate’s three regulation wins, another in OT, and an OT loss were good for 12 points ahead of a Jan. 28 game vs. St. Paul’s #2.
Meanwhile, in the Winnipeg Free Press East Division, Collège Béliveau looks like a lock for the top team in the division, with 53 points and only three games remaining in the regular season. J.H. Bruns had nine regulation and three OT wins, along with another in a shootout ahead of a Feb. 1 match vs. Springfield, good for 35 points and fourth place at press time. Windsor Park not far behind with six regulation wins and a win and three losses in OT for 23 points ahead of a Jan. 28 match vs. Shaftesbury. Glenlawn had six regulation wins, another in OT, and an OT loss for 21 points before taking on first place West Kildonan on Jan. 31. Dakota Collegiate’s five wins, two OT losses and two SO losses ahead of a Jan. 29 game against Windsor Park gave the Lancers 19 points. Meanwhile, Collège Jeanne-Sauve had earned only 13 points in 16 games heading into a Jan. 28 game vs. Powerview/Sagkeeng. 
In the Price Division, Centre scolaire Léo-Rémillard were top of the division, with 17 regulation wins and another in OT in 20 games, for a total of 53 points, ahead of a Feb. 1 game vs. Pinawa. Murdoch MacKay’s 13 regulation wins and one OT win was good for 41 points and third place ahead of a Jan. 31 match vs. neighbouring Collège Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau. Transcona Collegiate’s 7-11-1 record provided the Titans 22 points ahead of a Jan. 28 game against Collège Louis Riel, which was winless in 18 games at press time. Meanwhile, CPET had four regulation wins and two OT losses before a Jan. 28 game vs. Pinawa.
