Noah Rodrigue is a 14 year old who just started Grade 10 at Collège Stonewall Collegiate.

“I’m pretty excited. A number of my friends are coming into the high school,” he said. “There are a lot of new classes I can take this year, as well. My favourite class is gym and after that it’s math. I’ve always been pretty good with numbers. Math has always been pretty easy for me.”

Noah is dedicated to one sport that he has been playing since he was four years old.

“I’ve met a lot of friends through soccer. I have attended summer camps and played for a few different teams (and) I eventually made my way to the U15 Premier team at FC Northwest,” he said. “It has been great. I love all my teammates. My family members told me to work hard and to see what would happen, as far as playing time goes. I love being around the game, I love my teammates and coaches. We have a strong, close team.”

Noah lives in north Winnipeg with his mom Monica and stepdad Jason and with his dad Justin and stepmom Kelsey.

“I would like to say thank you to my parents for always supporting me in sports and outside of sports,” he said. “They do a lot to take good care of me.”

Noah is a very hard-working, talented and determined young man. He carries himself very well and has the kind of work ethic that makes dreams come true — and he has a big one:

“My dream would be to play soccer in university and get a scholarship,” he said.

Noah has this to offer to other athletes:

“Be a good teammate because being a good person can take you a long way. Also, be disciplined. Be disciplined with everything you do with sports and school. Always treat everyone with respect.”
