Professional tree climbing competition is far from child’s play

The 2023 tree climbing competition organized by the Prairie Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), was held on the weekend of Aug. 25 and 26 in Crescent Park.
Competitors, including pictured arborist DJ Neustaeter, were judged by their speed of ascension, agility, accuracy when throwing on target, and number of bells rung while maneuvering on and around a large tree.
