Manitoba baseball teams shone in August

Baseball Manitoba’s representative teams won themselves some significant honours last month.

First, the 17U Manitoba youth team won a bronze medal at the 2024 Baseball Canada Cup, which was played Aug. 7-11 in Fort McMurray, Alta.,

Baseball Manitoba’s 17U youth team finished in third place at the 2024 Baseball Canada Cup tournament in Fort McMurray, Alta.

Eight players from the 17U youth team were also members of the 16U developmental team, which earned the gold medal at the 2024 Western Canada Prospects Series, held Aug. 29-Sept. 1 in St. Albert, Alta. Manitoba defeated B.C. 2-1 in the final.
