On Sept. 18, Habitat for Humanity Manitoba welcomed the first 15 families to Habitat’s new Pandora Avenue West development.
Habitat staff were joined by dozens of volunteers, corporate sponsors, and dignitaries, including Manitoba Lt.-Gov. Anita Neville, provincial minister of housing Bernadette Smith, and Winnipeg mayor Scott Gillingham in welcoming the new residents to their homes following a formal key handover.
When complete in the spring of 2025, the new development will be home to 55 new families, an estimated 275 people — the largest project Habitat Manitoba has ever done to date.
