Retired principal contributes to Elmwood High School legacy fund

On Oct. 23, the Elmwood High School Legacy Fund held an event to honour former principal Mike Babb, who retired earlier this spring after nearly 20 years serving the school as principal and vice-principal.
As part of the event, the Babb family committed to a scholarship in their name, and a new plaque was unveiled to commemorate their commitment.
The Legacy Fund now has four named Emerald Circle scholarships, which require a donation of at least $10,000 to the fund – the Boughton family scholarship, the Bill Petrie Memorial football scholarship, the Val Harder Memorial scholarship and the Babb family scholarship. Donors categories also include platinum, gold, silver and bronze contributors.
