The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of its 2025 Business Excellence Awards, which recognize excellence, dedication, and positive impact.

The Young Entrepreneur award, sponsored by BPG The Benefits Planning Group, was presented to Jennifer Antonio of Dragonfly Branding (www.dragonflybranding.ca). Jennifer’s creativity has helped local businesses further develop their brands and establish unique identities, allowing them to stand out while remaining authentic. Her passion and drive truly embody what it means to be a young entrepreneur.

The Community Builder award, sponsored by Winnipeg Airports Authority, recognizes an organization that makes a significant impact on our community. This year the award went to Epic Opportunities (www.epicmb.ca), a non-profit built on the principles of inclusion and empowerment. It centres around advocacy and relationship-building, allowing individuals to develop independence and find meaningful connections. Epic Opportunities has made a lasting difference through its dedication to ensuring everyone is valued and supported.

The Non-Profit of the Year award was presented to Hood and Dagger Productions (www.hoodanddagger.ca). It is more than a theatre company, building community through art, and strengthening Winnipeg’s art scene. Hood and Dagger is committed to accessibility and inclusion, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds, while creating opportunities for individuals facing barriers. It remains dedicated to engaging and collaborating with local businesses and building diverse creative spaces.

The EcoLeadership award was presented to Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport (www.wyndhamgardenwinnipeg.com), recognizing a business which had a significant sustainable initiative or project over the past year, resulting in a positive impact on the environment. The changes made demonstrated how businesses can embrace greener practices, build an eco-friendlier future, and ensure lasting benefits for their organization, the community and the planet. Their dedication to ecological responsibility is shaping the future of environmentally conscious business.

Business of the Year recognized Bruce Benefits (www.brucebenefits.ca) for its exemplary leadership within its industry.
