For Winnipeggers, summer is when our city truly comes alive.

School’s out, there are more sunny days, and everyone is looking to enjoy this too-short season before the snow and cold return. There have never been more affordable and accessible opportunities to celebrate summer with your family, friends and neighbours. From public pools to library and drop-in programs, the City of Winnipeg is committed to offering free and fun options for kids and adults.

If you have little ones who need to cool off, check out these spray pads and wading pools in our ward for places to make endless summer memories:

Our greenspaces and parks in the ward are already beloved by so many of us, but there are always new corners to find adventure in and activities to try out. If you’re looking to spend your time appreciating the great outdoors while taking in some incredible arts and culture, look no further than Assiniboine Park’s Summer Entertainment Series. Packed with performances from local musicians and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as well as a Movies in the Park double feature every Friday, there’s something for everyone. Tourism Winnipeg has also put together a wonderful list of places and landmarks to explore, especially over the summer months. Whether you’ve never made the trek to visit or they’re on your annual to-do list, parks, historic sites and museums are all included as go-to spots to check out this year.
