Canada Day concert set for Royalwood

Royalwood Park will be the venue for a Canada Day concert, hosted by Coun. Brian Mayes (St. Vital).

According to brianmayes.com, the event will include performances by Gator Beaulieu (noon to 12:45 p.m.), Norah Erickson (1 to 1:45 p.m.), and Irvin Miller (2 to 2:45 p.m.).

The park is located along Shorehill Drive between Bridgeway Crescent and John Bruce Road E.

SCRA slated to hold Canada Day celebrations

The Sage Creek Residents’ Association will hold its Canada Day celebrations on July 1.

According to sagecreekra.com, the lineup will include a makers’ market, performances, bouncy castles, food trucks, an after-party, and fireworks.

The celebration will be held in Ron Duhamel Park (265 Sage Creek Blvd.). Entry will be free, and doors will open at 4 p.m.

WPRA to hold Canada Day fireworks and festival

The Windsor Park Residents’ Association is preparing to hold its Canada Day fireworks and festival event.

The event will be held at Vincent Massey Park (1107 Betournay St.) on Wednesday, July 1, starting at 7 p.m.

There will be a canteen selling cotton candy, popcorn and drinks, and there will be also be some lawn games to play, organizers say. Fireworks are scheduled for 10 p.m.

Visitors are asked to kindly bring a tin-for-the-bin in support of Harvest Manitoba.

Transcona to host Canada Day street festival

Transcona BIZ will be closing a section of Regent Avenue from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to host a street festival for Canada Day.

The free event features a community market, food trucks, activity tents, and a splash pad party.

New this year is the Transcona BIZ Summer Classic, a ball hockey tournament, and an adult doubles cornhole tournament.
