Regional director Cal Siemens (left) and store manager Alex Speckman cut the ribbon on April 29 to open the new Save-on-Foods store at 4425 Pembina Hwy.
The new grocery store, located at 1910 Pembina Hwy., opened the same day as another at Kildonan Place on Regent Avenue. Save-On-Foods opened its first three stores in Winnipeg in November 2016, bringing the total to five.
Customers at the two new locations can expect a traditional grocery store that also offers Smokehouse products, a floral department and a large selection of Save-On-Foods Kitchen grab ‘n’ go items, including signature sandwiches, hand-rolled sushi, take and bake pizza and ready-to-eat chicken wings.
Home of the Million Dollar Score and Win, and Million Dollar Touchdown to Win promotions, Save-On-Foods recently awarded Winnipegger Marcella Chartrand $100,000 last month when Winnipeg Jet Andrew Copp scored four goals in one game.
Customers who shop at Save-On-Foods and scan their More Rewards card are automatically entered to win prizes during the NHL and CFL seasons.
“Since 2016, the city of Winnipeg has fully embraced Save-On-Foods and we could not be more excited to offer our customers more of the products and unique service they’ve come to know and love,” Save-On-Foods president Darrell Jones said.
“I know I speak for my entire team when I say we can’t wait to open our doors and welcome our new neighbours to this amazing new store,” Save-On-Foods Pembina Crossing store manager Alex Speckman said. “We are excited to share this fantastic shopping experience with them and strengthen our relationships with our customers and community.”
Save-On-Foods Pembina Crossing is open to customers with enhanced safety protocols in place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
