Central Community Centre is located at 200 Isabel St. in the Centennial area inside the Freight House building.

The community centre was established in 1973 as an initiative to add space to gather families in a healthy environment. They are a volunteer-run community centre with many activities for children, youth and adults, such as hockey, from October to March, a year-round youth drop-in, computer program, soccer, cadets training, open gym, and children’s activities.

Adults can engage in wrestling every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., boxing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., bingo every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. and basketball from September to June.

The community centre also hosts a food bank year-round on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon, public skating in the winter months from 4 to 10 p.m. and an outdoor pool from July to September from noon to 8 p.m.

According to the General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres, Central CC is open to the community from door No. 3 from noon to 8 p.m. during the summer, 3:30 to 9 p.m. during the spring, fall and winter months, and noon to 8 p.m. on the weekends.
Hours of operation for doors No. 5 and 6 are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 5 to 10 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
