Little Ceasars owners have big hearts

Richard and Jackie Dean are the parents of two adult children and the proud owners of the Little Caesars outlet on Pembina Highway.

Their Little Caesars Pizza Co. is a big player in the Fort Richmond economy. Opened in 1997 as a family business, the company’s Pembina location is known for providing delicious quality food with quick, friendly service. It welcomes an average of about 2,500 customers every week.

Today, their daughter Amber is fully involved in the day-to-day running of the business. The Fort Richmond location has as many as 16 employees, and many of them come from  multicultural backgrounds (Philippines, South Korea, China, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria) as well as Canada.

Upon entering the restaurant, a visitor can’t help but notice the clean environment, the broad smiles of employees and a welcoming atmosphere.

“With a smile and excellent service, we provide perfect pizza in less than 30 seconds every time,”  Richard said.

“We give all employees the highest quality training in order to position them to offer the best service, even when we know that the employee is temporarily on staff.”

Jackie added that “with top-quality training, Little Caesars saves money and time”.

When asked what drives their passion for the business, Richard and Jackie identified the joy of giving back to the community. In addition to reducing the cost of pizza by almost 40% during customer appreciation day, they also provide discounts on school orders as a way of helping educational institutions in the neighborhood.

In addition, the couple support organizations such as the Children’s Wish Foundation through fundraising initiatives.

Richard and Jackie own two other Little Caesars locations, one in St. Vital and another in Brandon.

Acadia Junior High is currently looking for parents who are able to help out with this year’s Halloween dance on Thurs., Oct. 25 from 6:45 to 9:30 p.m. All proceeds from the dance will go to charities which the kids will select.
