El Shaddai celebrates at St. Boniface Cathedral

It was a special celebration with Archbishop Albert LeGatt of St. Boniface Archdiocese celebrating the
Holy Mass that highlighted the 24th anniversary of the Winnipeg chapter of El Shaddai DWZI – Prayers Partners Fellowship on May 22 at St. Boniface Cathedral.
Fr. Greg Mulligan, the spiritual director of the El Shaddai Winnipeg chapter, assisted the archbishop, along with two other priests for the mass celebration.
The Prayer of the Faithful for the Mass celebration was recited in eight different Philippines dialects. Juliet Monsalud did the Tagalog recitation; along with Rose Castillo, Ilocano; Lyn Custodio, Kapampangan; Reynaldo Cruz, Pangasinan; Floramante Bautista, Bicol; Teddy Osan, Ilonggo; Rita Feniquito, Cebuano; and Ann Adounke, French.
Among the special guests at the Mass celebration was Ronald Opina, honorary consul for the Philippines in Winnipeg.
The program after the mass featured Gerry Marquez and Rowena De Leon as emcees and an opening prayer offered by Gerry Marquez. Opening remarks were delivered by Michael Arididon and closing remarks by Nene Rojas.
The El Shaddai Band and youth choir led by Alex Castillo (of the chapter’s music ministry) and Jessica Mia Estillore (of the youth and young adults ministry) played worship and joyful music.
The Regina El Shaddai chapter delivered a song-and-dance presentation led by co-ordinator Julie dela Cruz. The Winnipeg chapter made its own presentation for the occasion followed by four volunteer sharers of blessings: Floramante Bautista, Jerry Monsalud, Emillin Saguinsin, Edison Ambulo.
Froilan Roy Remigio from Los Angeles, Calif., delivered the healing message for the occasion and the inspirational talk was given by Donell Custodio and Romy De Leon.
Winnipeg chapter co-ordinator for the month of May, Michael Arididon, thanked everyone for coming and sharing in the celebration.
The El Shaddai DWXI Prayer Partners Fellowship International is a Catholic charismatic renewal movement that was founded by Mike Velarde in Manila, Philippines.
Other members of the Winnipeg chapter council include Nene Rojas, Riggie Borja, Vicky Paredes, Juliet Monsalud, Norberto Bulado and Agnes delos Santos.
The Winnipeg chapter local disciple preachers are Johnny Camungol, Gerry Marquez, Nestor Terrible, Bro. Jhess Estillore, Donell Custodio and Romy De Leon.
The El Shaddai Winnipeg chapter holds its praise, worship and fellowship every Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 45 Foster St. Everyone is welcome to attend.
