A Little Pizza Heaven set to open in Park City

One of my favourite foods in the entire world is pizza.

So I was thrilled to learn that A Little Pizza Heaven will soon open its fifth location in downtown Transcona.  Located at the corner of Regent Avenue and Day Street, A Little Pizza Heaven will offer food or pickup or delivery only, with a target opening date of March 1. 

Because of the company’s technologically advanced, high-speed ovens “it is possible to cook a pizza in only five minutes” said owner Dave Fox, who explained that his restaurants use high-quality ingredients and market their pizzas at a mid-price point. 

A Little Pizza Heaven is known for its delicious thin crust, glazed with garlic butter. Vegan, keto and gluten-friendly options are also available. 

If you like to experiment with flavour combinations, it offers a selection of specialty pizzas including Xtreme bacon mac n cheese, Caribbean jerk chicken and a breakfast pizza with eggs. If you prefer to create your own pizza, it is also possible to do so, starting with the sauce — in addition to traditional, tomato-based sauces, there are options such as ranch dressing, tzatziki and creamy alfredo. 

 In addition to a variety of pizzas, the menu also includes calzones, oven-baked wings, salads and quesadillas.  

Something that makes this pizza company rather unique is its involvement with local charities. A Little Pizza Heaven supports The Winnipeg Humane Society, Manitoba Children’s Museum, Health Sciences Centre Foundation, Graffiti Gallery, and The Dream Factory. Last year it also gave away over 1,000 Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball tickets. 

According to Dave, A Little Pizza Heaven has pickup specials for firefighters and police officers. It also offers special pricing when purchasing large orders for events such as wedding socials.

Dave believes in their product and said “the best way to advertise is to let our product speak for itself.”

One day prior to the Transcona store’s grand opening, A Little Pizza Heaven will be doing a pizza slice giveaway, allowing community members the opportunity to sample their wares. For more information on store locations and menu items, please refer to alittlepizzaheaven.ca.
