Darrell Boyko, Royalwood resident and owner of Boyko Innovations, is a man of faith, family and forging new ground for his clients.

Boyko Innovations was founded in 2014, shortly after the Boykos moved to Royalwood. The trademarked corporate training arm of the company, DominateSelling, followed a few years after.

“I literally was frustrated at the mediocrity I saw in selling,” Boyko said. “I leveraged my deep selling experience to develop a framework to help entrepreneurs and small business owners grow their business.”

The DominateSelling trademark is owned by Boyko. It is a repeatable, transferable, and sustainable system that aligns the sales team with the organization and drives high-performance behaviours to increase sales productivity.

“You go through our private workshops and end up with a sales playbook that is specific to your business, not just general theories,” Boyko explained.

Boyko Innovations clients range from large multi-national corporations selling business services to local Winnipeg tech and engineering start-ups. The pandemic has led Boyko to start video production for online courses.

“Even amid COVID-19, everyone seems to want to grow their business,” said Boyko.
Hundreds of business owners have gone through Boyko’s webinars and workshops. He is a regular presenter for the World Trade Centre Winnipeg and other Manitoba organizations. As well, Boyko is a mentor with Futurepreneur, a national non-profit that supports young entrepreneurs.

“Being a mentor to the next generation of entrepreneurs is meaningful for me,” Boyko said. “My mentees are an extension of my family and business.”

Typically, Boyko rises early to go to the gym. Returning by 7 a.m., he makes breakfast and lunches for his sons and drives them to school.

Back-to-back meetings start by 9 a.m. via video. At 3:15 p.m., Boyko picks up his sons, gets them started on homework and then finishes his meetings.

He maintains that he secret to his success has been the strong support of his family and his faith.

“My wife and I celebrate our 10th anniversary in July 2021,” Boyko noted. “We attend and volunteer at our church. My eldest son Isaiah plays for the Bonivital Soccer slub and I have been involved in coaching. Levi, my youngest, is starting piano and is destined to be an entertainer.”

Boyko has lived in Royalwood for seven years, and said that great neighbo-rs, peace and quiet and neighborhood parks and trails are why his family enjoys our area.
