The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce is kicking off 2023 by celebrating two renovated businesses. One is a common name to all that has transitioned into a new phase, while the other is aa new business that turned what was once a French bistro into a diner reminiscent of the 1950s.

Ribbon cuttings are the ceremonial openings of brand-new, newly renovated or relocated businesses. They can celebrate your first day of business or can take place weeks after a soft opening. Ribbon-cutting requests for anniversary celebrations are also common. The Chamber’s ribbon-cutting services include the big red scissors, a choice of ribbon, invitations to government officials and more. Call us at 204-774-4154 to ask us to help you with your celebration.

Ravi and Kevin are on a mission to bring back the old-school diner hospitality of the 1950s, including serving milkshakes with the side cups. Dreamland Diner is a clean, extremely fun and lively retro experience for local families, parents and grandparents to visit with their kids and grandkids. Patrons can enjoy ice cream, shakes, desserts, hot dogs and kids’ meals served with that good, ol’ time hospitality.

Dreamland Diner proudly supports local businesses such as Gunn’s Bakery, Winnipeg Old Country Sausage and more.

Dreamland also works with wonderful organizations such as The Dream Factory, Sleep in Heavenly Peace Winnipeg, Never Alone Cancer Foundation, Rainbow Resource Centre, Firefighters’ Burn Fund Manitoba, Bruce Oake Recovery Centre and more. Come spin the Charity Wheel to see which give-back efforts you can support, too. Every single customer helps make a difference.
