Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 18/10/2023 (708 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you that if you have questions or concerns about your streets, sidewalks, local parks, or other City of Winnipeg services, please contact our 311 service.
Winnipeg’s 311 system is set up so residents can report their concerns or get information about city services. There are several ways to reach 311: by dialing 311 on your phones; by emailing 311@winnipeg.ca; by reaching out through the official City of Winnipeg social media accounts; or in-person at the front counter of the Susan A. Thompson building at 510 Main St.
You can also connect with 311 through the City of Winnipeg website. When you visit www.winnipeg.ca/311 you will find forms you can use to report concerns such as potholes, damaged trees, or missed garbage pickup.

If you have questions or concerns about city streets, sidewalks, local parks, or other City of Winnipeg services, your first act should be contacing Winnipeg’s 311 service.
Once a city department receives a request through 311, it reviews the issue and determines the timeline for repair or intervention. City staff work very hard to resolve concerns as quickly and effectively as they can, though it sometimes does not feel that way. Concerns that pose an immediate threat of danger to a neighbourhood become priorities, while other concerns may take longer to resolve.
Notifying 311 is vitally important to resolving issues. Many residents post concerns on their social media accounts, for example, but these are often only seen by their followers or members of their group. 311 does not subscribe to any neighbourhood accounts or follow any individuals on social media, so the issue goes unreported.
Continue to call, email or stop by my community office at 646 Leila Avenue to share your concerns and ideas for our community. When you reach out to 311, please copy me at devi@winnipeg.ca. When you contact my office, please have your 311 reference number on hand so we can effectively follow-up on the concern you registered.
We all have concerns and our hard-working city staff will try to address them in a timely manner but they need your patience.
I am always available for you at 204-986-5264 or devi@winnipeg.ca.
