Central Energy U13 softball wins bronze at provincials

The Central Energy U13 softball team claimed the bronze medal at the 2024 Manitoba Premier Softball League AAA provincial championship tournament held in Stonewall, Man., from July 25 to 28.
Central finished the round-robin portion of the tournament with a 3-3 record, which was good enough for fourth place and a spot in the playoffs against the third-place Winnipeg Lightning. Central scored five runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat the Lightning 9-1 and secure a chance to battle for a place in the gold-medal game, but it was not to be as the Energy went down 7-0 to the Eastman Wildcats, whowere defeated by the Interlake Phillies in the final.
