Last year, the people of Manitoba were presented with a pivotal choice – to continue with a divisive political approach or to embrace a government committed to standing for them, with them, and by them. Manitobans spoke decisively, opting for a new approach that would rebuild health care, make life more affordable, and create a better future for all. Manitobans are hardworking, compassionate and care deeply for one another and their communities. Over the last seven-and-a-half years, many Manitobans were affected by the cuts to our health care and education. Which is why they voted for a new government with a brighter vision for the future of Manitoba.
Manitobans now have a government that listens to their needs, respects their experiences, and works tirelessly on their behalf. We’re restoring the services and opportunities that Manitobans rely on. From improving health care to lowering costs, we are taking practical steps to ensure no one is left behind.
In this year’s throne speech, we’re making it a priority to keep saving people money. As Manitoba enjoys the lowest inflation across the country, we’re going to take additional to save people more money by freezing hydro rates. Manitobans should never have to worry about keeping food on the table or securing a safe, clean place to call home.

Affordable housing is a cornerstone of our approach to rebuilding Manitoba. Our department of public service delivery is working in tandem with the department of housing, addictions, and homelessness to expand access to social and affordable housing. Every family deserves the security and dignity of a home.
Education is another critical priority. Our children deserve the freedom to focus on learning and growing in a safe, supportive environment. That’s why we are committed to building new schools and maintaining existing ones, while ensuring no child has to learn on an empty stomach.
To truly serve Manitobans, we are taking a balanced approach — strengthening the economy while investing in vital public services. Our vision is rooted in the belief that everyone, regardless of their background, deserves an equal opportunity to thrive.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to ‘One Manitoba,’ a province where unity and inclusivity guide every decision. Together, with our Prairie spirit, we will continue to build a province that reflects the values and aspirations of its people.
As we look ahead, Manitobans have every reason to be hopeful. Our work has only begun, but we are committed to the promise of a brighter tomorrow — for everyone who calls this great province home.
