Moving forward as PC leader

Spring is here and it’s great to see everyone outside taking advantage of the nice weather.
These last two months have been action packed and I am excited to share with you some of the highlights. But first, I have to start off by congratulating the Winnipeg Jets for an incredible first round series win and a remarkable third period comeback and double OT victory in Game 7. I wish them good luck as they head into round two!
I am thrilled to celebrate the opening of Buffalo Crossing at FortWhyte Alive, a transformative addition to our community. This state-of-the-art, climate-resilient facility sets a new standard for sustainable architecture and will serve as a vibrant hub for environmental education, outdoor recreation, and cultural engagement. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all partners and supporters who have made this vision a reality.
On April 26, I was honoured to be elected as the new leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba, and I want to begin by sincerely thanking every single member who participated in the leadership race. Your support, your engagement, and your belief in our party’s future have energized me every step of the way.
Over these past few months, I’ve had the incredible privilege of travelling across our beautiful province and meeting thousands of dedicated Manitobans. I’ve seen firsthand what makes Manitoba great — it’s all of you!
That’s why I’m proud to announce that we will soon launch the Ideas Network — a platform to gather real, grassroots ideas from Manitobans like you. We will also strengthen our constituency associations, open executive meetings, and make party financials accessible to all our members.
Our new-era PC Party is committed to unleashing Manitoba’s economic potential. We will support job creators and attract investment by reducing red tape and building a business-friendly climate in these challenging times. We will stand up for you on public safety with clear, strong initiatives like “Jail, not Bail” to keep violent offenders off our streets and restore safety to our communities.
There is much work ahead, but it is an exciting time. Together, we will build a stronger, safer, more prosperous Manitoba – one that reflects the values and voices of the people who call it home.
Let’s keep moving forward, together, for a better Manitoba.
I look forward to hearing from you and remain committed to representing the Fort Whyte constituency as I move forward as the Leader of the PC Party of Manitoba. As always, if you have any questions, comments, concerns or require help in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our constituency office by email at office@obbykhan.ca or by calling 204-691-0720.
