Summer is now in full swing, as are the vibes at Le Patio 340.
After its successful opening last year, Centre culturel franco-manitobain’s outdoor patio enterprise — which is located east of the centre at the corner of Provencher Boulevard and Des Meurons Street — opened for the season last month.
According to a recent news release, Le Patio 340 will be holding nightly events on Thursdays through Sundays during the summer. The events will be held in collaboration with a number of different organizations, including le Conseil Jeunesse Provincial, le 100 Nons, and the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, to name a few.
Organizers say most events at Le Patio 340 are free, as it’s important for CCFM to make art and culture accessible to the community. They are grateful for the support of several event partners, as well as generous donations from the public, according to the release.
This month, there’s still lots for visitors to Le Patio 340 to enjoy, including a traditional Franco-Manitoban night hosted by le Conseil Jeunesse Provincial on July 15; Queer Night on July 16; and Swing Night on July 17.
During the fourth week of July, there will be a Métis beading workshop hosted by le Conseil Jeunesse Provincial on July 21: Francofeels Night hosted by Wanda G on July 22; and a concert by the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra on July 24.
And to round out the month, there will be a Burnstick concert on July 28; a concert with Amelie Tétrault and Justin Lacroix Bard presented by the Conseil Jeunesse Provincial on July 29; a concert with Tyler Del Pino and Brandon Post on July 30; and open mic night in collaboration with The Village Conservatory on July 31.
