Elmwood Winter Fun Day well attended

The annual Elmwood Winter Fun Day returned to Clara Hughes Recreation Park (281 Henderson Hwy.) on Feb. 11.
More than 1,000 people turned out to take part in the free winter activities, which included milk jug curling, snowshoeing, skating, toboggan slides, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and more.
The volunteer-run event was organized by community organizations Bronx Park Community Centre, the Glenelm Neighbourhood Association, Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation, the Elmwood Community Resource Centre, and the Columbia Alliance in Manitoba Inc. Local businesses such as JC’s Tacos and More and FreshCo on Regent Avenue also contributed.
