Folklorama, Winnipeg’s annual celebration of nations and culture, is wrapping up its first week on Friday, Aug. 12. This is far from the end, however, as it will pick right back up the next day, Aug. 13, and run 20 more cultural pavilions until Aug. 19. Once again, they are as follows:
• Africa/Caribbean (Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 460 Munroe Ave.);
• Belgian (La Club Belge/Belgian Club, 407 Provencher Blvd.);

Folklorama, opened Aug. 6 with a week-long run for 20 pavilions. Another 20 will open Aug. 13 and run until Aug. 19, including the Punjab pavilion at the Punjab Cultural Centre.
• Caso do Minho Portuguese (1080 Wall St.);
• Chinese (Dynasty Building, 180 King St.);
• Cuban (Heather Curling Club, 120 Youville St.);
• First Nations (RBC Convention Centre —north building, second floor, 375 York Ave.);
• German (Holy Cross Gym, 290 Dubuc St.);
• Hungary – Pannonia (RBC Convention Centre — north building, third floor, 375 York Ave.);
• Irish (Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Blvd.);
• Japanese (Petrus Hall, 2624 Inkster Blvd.);
• Spain (St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and Manitoba Hellenic Centre, 2255 Grant Ave.);
• Scotland (Centro Caboto Centre, 1055 Wilkes Ave.);
• Pavillon canadien-français (Centre culturel franco-manitobain, 340 Provencher Blvd.);
• Polish (RBC Convention Centre — north building, main floor, 375 York Ave.);
• Punjab (Punjab Cultural Centre, 1770 King Edward St.);
• Romanian (Bronx Park Community Centre, 720 Henderson Hwy.);
• Scandinavian (Scandinavian Cultural Centre, 764 Erin St.);
• South Sudanese (Sudanese Community Cultural and Resource Centre, 129 Dagmar St.);
• Tamil (Burton Cummings Community Centre, 960 Arlington St.);
• Ukraine – Kyiv (Maples Collegiate, 1330 Jefferson Ave.).

Tickets are limited and advanced purchase is recommended. They guarantee entrance but do not confirm a seat. The tickets are currently only available to purchase online and before the event, also through the website — general price for one is $7.50
As in previous years, group tours are available and can be organized online.
