Manitoba’s 43rd general provincial election will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Advance voting will run from Saturday, Sept. 23 until Saturday, Sept. 30.

Electoral districts and nominated candidates in the coverage area of the Free Press Community Review East edition are as follows (incumbents in bold type):

Deadline for nominations was 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11. Both the governing Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba and the opposition New Democratic Party of Manitoba will field full slates of 57 candidates, while the Manitoba Liberal Party nominated candidates in 49 electoral districts. The Green Party of Manitoba is running 13 candidates, the Communist Party of Canada – Manitoba has nominated five candidates and the Keystone Party is running five candidates in rural districts. Three independent candidates are also up for election.

Registered voters will receive voter information cards in the mail and can vote at any advance poll in the province when the time comes.
