New clinic offers array of cosmetic procedures

Folks looking for a quick cosmetic procedure can now do so close to home, thanks to a new clinic.

Aesthetics MD, which offers same-day cosmetic procedures, is now open at 210-1100 Concordia Ave.

Dr. Roman Chubaty, the doctor behind the clinic, has more than 20 years experience both providing esthetics procedures, as well as training practitioners in their use, both in Winnipeg and in Arizona, where he lived for nearly 30 years before recently returning to Winnipeg.

“I’m not a junior at this,” Chubaty said. “I like it from a perspective that it’s something other than general practice. People get happy real quick, whether they want to look better for Christmas or Thanksgiving or whatever.”

Brandy-Lynn Woodcock joins Chubaty at Aesthetics MD, bringing her own decade-plus experience in the field. The clinic currently offers wrinkle treatments, dermal facial filters and body sculpting. All procedures are done via injection, rather than surgery.

“These are procedures that are all done the same day,” Woodcock said. “They’re all injectables, no invasive procedures. Whether it’s adding a little volume if you’re feeling a little flat, say, or if you just want some Botox that smooths the skin out, or a LipoDissolve, which works on body contouring.”

With decades of combined experience, Chubaty and Woodcock believe there is a demand locally for their services.

“It’s a cost effective, non-intrusive option,” Woodcock said. “It’s an injection rather than surgery. You can get it done on your lunch hour.”

Born and raised in Transcona, Woodcock said that the northeast is underserved in esthetic options.

“We noticed there aren’t really any esthetic clinics in this area,” she said. “All the clinics seem to be located across the city. We’re open three days a week until 7 p.m. and open Saturdays. We’re very flexible in that regard. People won’t have to drive across the city, and we’re right next to (Concordia) hospital. We’ve got competitive pricing, friendly staff.”

Being able to work close to home is a bonus for Woodcock.

“I’m excited to serve my community, help people look a little bit better and feel a little bit better,” she said. “I’ve lived here my whole life, so I’m a familiar face in the community.”
