On June 5, Dakota Collegiate celebrated more than 200 grads at its annual graduation powwow event. This was the largest participation the event has seen, a spokesperson said, and despite storm clouds brewing above, the evening went to plan — outdoors — at Murray Field.

The event began with a feast, followed by a graduates’ entrance led by an eagle staff. Dancers of all ages then performed to Veteran’s Song with the help of several live drummers.

The land was also blessed to commemorate the graduating class.
