Flip Off CKD event a big success

Participants in the recent Flip Off CKD event raised $5,600 for the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
The fundraiser — the first one of its kind to be held locally by the foundation — took place at Greendell Park Community Centre (75 Woodlawn Ave.) on June 3. The Manitoba branch of the foundation partnered with local gyms Brickhouse Gym 24/7 and Flex Fitness to train competitors to make sure they were in tip-top shape for the event Some of the participants have some form of kidney disease, while others don’t.
