The Assiniboine Park Conservancy has a role for just about anyone.
The conservancy is seeking 150 volunteers for a variety of positions around the park. Volunteer positions are open to anyone aged 16 or older.
Laura Curtis, the conservancy’s manager of brand and communications, said the most general volunteer role available is that of the goodwill ambassador.
“They have different locations around the park or zoo, and answer visitor questions, give people directions, that type of thing,” she said.
Other roles include tour guides on the zoo tram and on the DOMO Double Decker Bus, as well as program assistants for children and adult programming. Special events volunteers are also needed.
The conservancy will hold a volunteer fair on April 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Acorn Activity Room at the Qualico Family Centre. Those interested in volunteering are invited to attend.
