Manitoba Regional Lily Society to hold fall bulb sale on Sept. 27
Green-thumbed Winnipeggers are invited to stop by the Manitoba Regional Lily Society’s upcoming fall bulb sale.
The annual sale will be held at St. Vital Centre (1225 St. Mary’s Rd.) on Saturday, September 27 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
According to stvitalcentre.com, attendees will be able “to browse a wide selection of hardy lily bulbs at affordable prices and receive expert advice from passionate growers.”
As well, society members will be eligible for 10 per cent of their purchases at the event, organizers say.

Elmwood-East Kildonan candidate meet-and-greet to be held on Oct. 8
Candidates to become city councillor for Elmwood-East Kildonan have been invited to attend meet the public an answer questions about their candidacy.
A meet-and-greet event is scheduled to take place at 180 Poplar Ave. on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
At press time, candidates included Braydon Mazurkiewich, Abel Gutierrez, Carmen Prefontaine, Zekaria Seahadin, and Emma Durand-Wood.
