Public skating back at ESP Arena
The skating public is invited to lace up at East St. Paul Arena this fall and winter.
Public skating is currently open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and Sundays from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Stephen Moir teaches art classes and organizes the Silver Brushes Art Community, which meets Mondays and Wednesdays. The group is hosting its annual art show and sale on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 328 Whittier Ave. W.
Stick-and-puck sessions for those 55-plus take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.
All ages stick-and-puck skates run Thursdays from 10 to 11:15 a.m.

St. Vital Museum at St. Vital Centre Nov. 1 and 2
The St. Vital Historical Society, which operates the St. Vital Museum in the old St. Vital fire hall and police station at 600 St. Mary’s Rd., is hosting an information booth at St. Vital Centre on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1 and 2.
In addition to giving visitors information on the museum and how to join the society, volunteers at the booth will also be selling 2026 St. Vital Museum calendars, featuring original historic photos of old St. Vital. Cost is just $5 (calendars are also available at the museum and at Miller’s Meats, 590 St. Mary’s Rd.)
Silver Brushes art show Nov. 8
The Silver Brushes Art Community will hold its annual art show and sale on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The event, sponsored by the Transcona Council for Seniors, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 328 Whittier Ave. W. The show and sale will feature the work of member artists from the community in a variety of styles and media.
Admission is free. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
Movement Centre of Manitoba social Nov. 29
The Movement Centre of Manitoba will soon hold its first social on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. at Gateway Recreation Centre (1717 Gateway Rd.).
The theme for the event — billed as “a fun-filled evening of music, dancing, prizes, and more” — is Winter Wonderland and white is the suggested dress code, organizers say.
