More than 500 people attended Volunteer Manitoba’s recent recruitment fair at the Viscount Gort Hotel on Oct. 9.
Ashley Seymour, executive director of the organization, said many of the attendees reported finding volunteer opportunities that matched their interests and passions. She added that participating organizations shared “overwhelmingly positive feedback, with most noting a strong number of new volunteer sign-ups as a result of the event.”
“In addition to connecting volunteers with causes that matter, the fair also provided an incredible networking opportunity for local non-profits to connect, collaborate, and share ideas for strengthening volunteer engagement across our community,” Seymour said in an email. “The fair truly showcased the spirit of community engagement and the power of connecting people with causes that matter.”
