Jane’s Walk volunteer walk leaders sought

Jane’s Walk Winnipeg is looking for walk leaders for the 2026 season, which will take place from May 1 to 3.

Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by renowned urbanist and activist Jane Jacobs (1916-2006). Hosted by the Winnipeg Arts Council, Jane’s Walk Winnipeg is citizen-led by volunteers, who “create walks covering a wide variety of topics from historical landmarks, hidden gems, public art, to local lore, influential figures, and grassroots initiatives,” according to a recent release.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to apply, with no prior experience necessary. Walk length is generally between 45 minutes to 2 hours long and can be scheduled from May 1 to May 3. Applications are due April 27.
