Earth Day falls on Wednesday, April 22 this year and Winnipeggers can observe and participate in several events and activities around town.

The Forks looks to be the busiest hub for Earth Day activities. This year’s celebrations are titled Repair Together, and the focus will be on finding ways to keep your stuff going a little bit longer.

“Repair is a critical step towards a circular economy and an ethos that aligns with environmental stewardship,” said Helga Jakobson, sustainability co-ordinator at The Forks, in a statement.
