The People’s Climate Mandate – Townhall

Do you want more city services, new and better-maintained infrastructure, and greater say in what happens at city hall?

The next Winnipeg municipal election is coming up, and we’re inviting all Winnipeggers to participate in building a policy agenda that clearly communicates what we want from our next city council when it comes to building a green, healthy, affordable, liveable city.

On June 11th, we’ll learn all about how the city works, and hear from experts and community organizations on their pitches for a better Winnipeg. Then you’ll have the chance to share your own experiences, come up with your own ideas together with fellow community members, and choose the ones you want to see happen!

Based on a citizens’ assembly model, this project lets you go beyond voting for a candidate this election—and vote directly for the solutions you want to see instead.
