“It was an amazing experience,” she said. “We had so many close games.”

Team Manitoba took the gold in the U16 category, but Hildebrand was pleased to be named an all-star.

“I had a good tournament,” she said.

Hildebrand has played ringette for about 11 years, starting with the Macdonald Wildfire, then moving to the Manitoba Magic.

She attends Grade 10 at Sanford Collegiate and also plays on the school’s Sabres hockey team which made it to the second round of this season’s playoffs in the Winnipeg Women’s High School Hockey League’s Winnipeg Free Press Division.

“I can balance both sports,” she said.

She plans on trying out for the Manitoba Magic U19 ringette team.

“I enjoy the fast pace of ringette and making new friends,” Hildebrand said.
