Noventis Credit Union continues to invest in its commitment to serve rural Manitoba by branching out with a new location in the Starbuck community.
And you can bank on Noventis Credit Union to embrace innovation, since it was the first financial institution to introduce a network of interactive teller machines (iTMs) in the province. The Starbuck branch will feature the credit union’s third iTM, in addition to existing machines in Selkirk and Gimli.
Offering more services than an ATM, the iTM has the ability to dispense coins, pay bills and transfer money to registered products such as RRSPs. A live representative is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. six days per week, so the service level is similar to what clients could expect in a typical branch environment.
Adding to the ease, clients don’t need to have their debit cards with them to use the iTM.
Noventis chief executive officer Kevin McKnight notes that Noventis has expanded to include community-based credit unions throughout 11 regions of the province — from locations close to Winnipeg, such as Headingley and Selkirk, all the way out to the Interlake. Bolstering its existing presence in Starbuck with the new branch reinforces how innovation helps to maintain high service levels in areas under-served by larger financial institutions.
“We are finding new and innovative ways to continue to serve people in communities that have been mostly abandoned by banks,” McKnight says.
“For example, our network of interactive Teller Machines actually allows us to have longer hours than ever before. This convenience is what members are telling us they want.”
The convenience continues with the addition of the Noventis contact centre, which is staffed Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
To reach a Noventis representative, members can call the contact centre at 1-844-826-6500.
