Long-serving Headingley mayor dies

RM of Headingley mayor Wilf Taillieu, 67, died on June 27 after a battle with cancer.

Taillieu, owner of Taillieu Construction, served on municipal council since 1992 after the municipality seceded from the City of Winnipeg. He was elected as reeve in 2000, and most recently acclaimed as mayor in the 2014 civic election.
