New face in the RM of Rosser office

Larry Wandowich is eager to meet local residents in his new role as Rosser’s CAO.
He is replacing Bev Wells who recently retired.

Wandowich, 48, previously worked on Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries’ executive team and was with the provincial crown agency for 23 years. One of his former duties was general manager of the McPhillips Station Casino, and he also worked in the areas of corporate security, business improvement and community involvement.

He has a BA from the University of Winnipeg and an MBA from the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business.

“This was a great opportunity for me,” said Wandowich, who lives with his family in Winnipeg’s Amber Trails.

He said he recognizes the municipality’s unique need to balance its agricultural roots with the development occurring as part of CentrePort Canada. He believes that his business knowledge will help him assist council in this area.

“We feel very fortunate to have Larry join our staff in the key role of CAO. His knowledge and diverse experience will be a great addition to our team of staff and council as we continue to strive to provide the highest level of services to our community,” Rosser reeve Frances Smee wrote in an email.

“Larry is well-respected by our government and industry partners and joins in our commitment to build positive and productive relationships in the capital region and beyond. We look forward to an exciting new era in our history and I encourage our community, friends and partners to stop by the RM office to meet Larry at their earliest opportunity.”
