The following communities are holding Remembrance Day services and dedication ceremonies on Sat., Nov. 11.
Brunkild — A plaque bearing the names of local veterans will be dedicated at Brunkild Memorial Recreation Centre (10H PR 305) at 3 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 11.
Cartier — The RM of Cartier’s Remembrance Day service is being held at the Roman Catholic Church in St. Eustache (57 Main St.) on Sat., Nov. 11 at 10 a.m.
The service will include a memorial unveiling to honour veterans from St. Eustache, Elie, Cartier, St. Francois Xavier, Marquette and Belcourt.
Lunch will follow at St. Eustache Cartier Hall (10 Allarie St. S).
Domain — The Domain Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 208 is holding its Remembrance Day service on Sat., Nov. 11 starting at 10:15 a.m. at the Domain Hall (41123 Macdonald Rd E). The outdoor ceremony will be followed by an indoor service.
Headingley — Headingley residents are invited to attend the Remembrance Day service on Sat., Nov. 11 at 10.45 a.m. in the Headingley Community Centre (5353 Portage Ave.), Headingley.
Sanford – The Sanford Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 171 is holding its Remembrance Day service at 10:45 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 11 in Sanford United Church at (4 Main St.). Wreaths will be laid at the town’s cenotaph following the service.
