Are you looking for something unique and handmade for little “princesses” in your life?
A due of young entrepreneurs are aspiring to bring back their five-year-old dreams through their new business, Tutu Cute.

Kaidi King and Jenna Braun are cousins and business partners. They clung to each other as the only girls in families that overflowed with boys. As young adults, they continue to flourish as friends.

Both young women attended Westwood Collegiate. Kaidi took art courses and found her way on the sewing machine. Jenna took home economics courses and never thought she’d really use the skills she acquired but is grateful for them today.

These days, Kaidi works for her family business and a local preschool (which is the perfect place for gaining inspiration) while Jenna is applying for the Red River College healthcare aide program.

At ages 18 and 19 they are drawing on skills acquired as well as their natural talents and creativity and they’re also learning a lot about running their own business. They’re learning how to source the best materials as well as figure out how much stock to keep on hand. Kaidi and Jenna actively engage social media to promote their products and are connecting with community members at local craft shows. Their vibrant personalities enhance their exemplary customer service.

Tutu Cute offers a diverse collection of  tutus, body suits, and hair accessories. They can take custom orders (such as baby’s first birthday or recreating something a customer has seen). They try to blend what they remember liking as little girls with what’s currently trending. The young women are planing to add products for little boys, too — such as T-shirts with fun logos. Their creative juices readily flow and they can’t wait to see what else they will add to their product line!

I am a strong supporter of buying local, I like supporting young adults and I invite you to do the same.

Tutu Cute can be found on Instagram (@tutucuute) and Facebook (tutuucutee).  They have also just opened an online Etsy shop (TutuCuteWPG) so don’t be shy in sharing their information with friends who don’t live in our community.

If you’re a last minute shopper, Tutu Cute will be at the SPACE Craft Show at 841 Cedar Ave. in Oakbank on Dec. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
