Headingley 4-H members speak out

The Headingley 4-H Club held its communications event on Feb. 11.
Members gave 14 speeches and presentations. All members received participation certificates and ribbons. Conner Tully won first place in the Cloverbud speech event with Logan Baron as runner-up. First place in junior speeches went to Naomi Scharf. Yulin Harley earn first place in the intermediate speech class and Kieran Wood was runner-up.
First place in the Cloverbud one-person visual presentation was given to Rose Uhres-Todd. Sarah Seniuk won first place in the junior one-person visual event and Luca Scharf was runner-up. Aidan Tulley received first place in intermediate one-person visual. First Place in the senior one-person visual presentation went to Shavaughn Jochum.
First place in the junior two-person visual presentation event was given to Daisy Uhres-Todd and Kendall Baron.
All first-place winners have the opportunity of attending the next level of competition at the Red River Area speakoffs on Sat., March 10 in Morden, Man.
The Headingley, La Salle 4-H Club and Gainsborough 4-H Clubs will be travelling to Nova Scotia as part of a reciprocal trip with the SouWest 4-H Club from Barrington, Nova Scotia. We are presently in the planning stage discussing fundraising ideas and sponsorship.
