Ron Vert and Patsy Andrews-Vert, from Starbuck, are shown attending the International Handbell Symposium in Cairns, Australia from August 6 to 11. Patsy was the Canadian representative to the International Handbell Committee meeting and acted as assistant secretary and assistant chair.

The Verts were among the 301 ringers who took part in the massed ringing room activity.
